Shame on me! I just assume that everyone reads the comments on all the posts, but that probably isn't the case so I am looking like an ungrateful little "B" for not thanking Moni for her excellent post on my behalf. Here is a comment I posted on her wonderful post she did on our blog for us - "Let me start by saying you are THE bomb...just in case you didn't already know. No Billy, I am not talking to you...I am speaking to MY Moni (ok, Billy, I guess you can be a firecracker :))I will have you know that I just got internet access back at my house hours ago, the babies are down for the count and the first thing I am doing is commenting on your gorgeous little ones...That little Danna is just too damn cute for words. You really need to enter her in a cutest baby contest. I mean, the eyes, the little smile, the chubby cheeks...Tyger is one lucky dude. And my Laineman...I'm speechless, but I do think I could just eat him alive :) As for the Twin Towers, I LOVE the army crawl between the exersaucers and Pius' squeal! I can not wait to see those babies again, they have come SO far from their NICU days when I remember them. Maybe one weekend I will just wake up, pack up two babies (not brave enough to take 4 by myself) and just show up at your door...that sounds fantastic to me!! Thank you so much for taking time out of your already overloaded schedule to update our little blog. I love all the signature Moni touches. You have so much character it just bleeds through the screen! I have an extra hug for you when I see you in JUST 2 MONTHS!!! Ok, I am going to bed before I start crying (which would be very uncharacteristic for me). I miss you lots and lots and lots. Jac"
Now for my sad attempt at overtaking their blog. This one is just for fun where Moni updated you guys for us because we were cut off from the outside world...think that will keep me from having something to say about the LSU onesie debacle and the Bama pic???
Well hello out there Graf blogging faithful. Sorry to disappoint you, but this is Jac Tubre. You should have known Moni and Billy didn't have the stamina to produce 2 posts in 2 days :) Moni thinks I am a few fries short of a Happy Meal for dishing out my password to her...and she is right. On the other hand, who in their right mind would give their password to someone they think is a few fries short of a Happy Meal? Like good old Forrest Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does". So I suppose we are both a a few cards short of a full deck, a few bricks short of a full load, a few clowns short of a circus (this one is debatable), a few Cokes short of a six-pack, and a few babies short of a world record...you get the point. But heck, I think any mother, much less a first time mother of quadruplets would be crazy, so we proudly wear our dunce hat :)
Now, on to the good stuff...
Gustav is officially a curse word in our house. It has joined the ranks with all the standard 4 letter no-no words. Here is a little more footage I took. I was too scared and clinging too tight to the Cupcakes while they were drinking their 2 pm bottle to get any footage of the worst of the storm, but I think this will give you a pretty good picture of what we had going on for about 8 hours...
After Gustav left, we were back to a sense of normal around here. As Moni mentioned, we had power restored Saturday early am and cable, TV, home phone and Internet yesterday afternoon. I am so glad to have my beloved Internet back! A little sunshine for me with this storm was that since my studly husband found a generator large enough to run the entire house, I was able to offer our wonderful neighbors and family a cool place to hang out and wash a load of clothes, eat a hot meal or just play with the Cakes in some AC. I think it was His way of allowing me to give back a fraction of what they have given to us in the form of love, food, and their precious time this past year. Other than that, we are all back at work and life is getting back to normal.
Here is some random video and pictures. Hope you enjoy...
"Peek-a-boo Gammy!" -Tyger (in jumper), Cullen, Emma & Abbey
"Ha, Gustav is no match for us mom!" - Cullen & Emma
"What do you think I could get for this ivory tusk on the black market?" - Cullen. I think Gustav's change in barometric pressure is the cause of the sudden teething at the house. This picture was taken last week and now he has both bottom front teeth and they are all the way out almost :) Also, Emma has her top front tooth and Abbey and Tyger look like they are going to cut about 6 at once each.
And who could forget this picture? For those who don't remember, back from our NICU days, a very pregnant Moni is holding my Abbey Doo and she is sitting right on Laine who would become her fiance just weeks later!
And last, but certainly not least...payback is so much fun and there is nothing like making you relive a bad memory!
If that didn't drive you to drinking you Bama fans you, then try this on for size...
I can't wait for November!
Love yall and thanks for letting me take over your blog this afternoon!
Jac

That was disgusting...but we love our Tubres and we are happy that you guys are okay.
Jac and Moni.
Loved your sayings in reference to mental slowness.
Just wanted to add another saying Julie thought of just the other day.
"She/He is a few texts behind."
Maybe it doesn't make too much sense now; but wait until you have teenagers with cell phones with unlimited text messaging.
Uncle Tom
Gustav or no Gustav....you guys are a great comic relief.
God Bless.....!!!!

Hey Jac love the post but we are on the end of your street with no power still as of today..:( they are saying a couple of weeks don't think i can handle it!! we are staying in pville with my cousin! pray for lights. Glad all is well with ya'll I was thinking about ya'll during the Hurricane I was pretty sure that Torey had everything under control. Take care.
I'm afraid for the safety of your children in November! LOL. Sounds like it's going to be one huge bash (with just 2 families). :)
Glad Jac is safe.
Okay, I was able to get the full effect of the videos and pictures this morning. That was the most piss poor rendition of Sweet Home Alabama I've ever heard.
We are NOT, I repeat, NOT going to be patronizing Grace's Lounges when we're down south. Who's that singer, anyway? He needs a haircut.
Love,
Moni
Gasp! That was David St. Romain. He was on Nashville Star and we went to good ole Woodlawn High School together. The boy can sing and trust me, ANYTHING sounds better than the actual version of Sweet Home Alabama :)
Jac
Love this post too! I cannot believe the cakes are going to be a year old soon AND I cannot believe Lexi and the Graf quads will be a year in 2 months 9 days!!! Time has really flown.
