Not too shabby!

Well, the majority of you were correct. The answer is "D" (thanks for the give away, Uncle Tommy ;D). But to be quite honest, I used a trick picture that sucked in about 19% of you all. See, Pius was sticking out his tongue and that's normally Forrest's trademark. I know, I know. I cheated. As for the one percent who thought Danna was Pius....we'll just try to overlook that and tell Danna to stop worrying about it. She already started making plans to begin the Adkins diet of all protein and no carbs! And that's hard to do when you're supposed to be starting cereal. Let me know who you are and I'll send you the bill for years of therapy. But really, thanks for your participation. We here at the Graf house had a good time watching the polls. We may have to try more of those in the future.

In other news, we've had a pretty eventful week. Laine continues to be the most high maintenance of the bunch and he decided that he needed some alone time with just mom and dad.....and all the wonderful nurses, respiratory therapists, radiology technicians and physicians that mom works with. Yep, we had our first visit to the ER last Saturday. Here's how it all went down..... Mom worked the previous night so Dad and the quadlets had a sleepover party at Gramma Vicki and Grampa Stubby's house. They got home in time for their 2nd feeding of the day around 10:30. Bucko was over to help dad so that mom might be able to sleep in a little longer, but to no avail. Laine's antics ALWAYS wake up anyone that might have been sleeping. That Saturday was particularly bad, so mom emerged from the bedroom to see if she could help. While trying to get Laine to calm down and take his bottle, we noticed that he was having a hard time breathing and had a pretty nasty cough. Mom, RN to the rescue. After listening to his lung sounds we discovered Laine was wheezing and had some crackles, and probably couldn't breathe very well with a bottle in his mouth. We called the doctor to see if they had a weekend immediate care clinic...that was a no-go, so they told us to go to the ER. Called Vicki and Stubby to see if they could stay with the other 3 while we took Laine to Wesley West ER (the best ER EVER! Sorry, had to give our livelihood a plug). Of course, Laine got the royal treatment by everyone. A few breathing treatments from Tonia, a chest x-ray by Ali, steroids from Vickie (gotta juice up so he can compete with Frosty and Big Poppa) and some all around good lovin' from Kellie, Dr. Secrist and Emily. He was doing much better after all that and we got sent home with a couple prescriptions and a nebulizer for home breathing treatments. All's good in the hood, now. He's still a little under the weather and fussy but is really looking forward to the baptism this Sunday and the "coming out" pool party the following Saturday. He told me so.

Laine: "Thanks, mom, for helping me breathe better!"

We had another "first" last weekend. We all went to Mass together with Vicki, Stubby, Budda and Papa! The babies were SO good (thankfully, Laine slept the entire time)! Then we all went out to eat at Chili's. Wow. Talk about a once in a while ordeal.....a once in a very LONG while, that is! They were okay at first, but then they definitely let us know that they were hungry, too. It all worked out in the end and it gave us an invaluable lesson on ALWAYS being prepared.

On the subject of "firsts"... Forrest getting his first taste of baby cereal. More of it ended up ON him rather than IN him, but it was fun, nonetheless!

We have a few more videos to share. I know we've mentioned before how Johnny Cash always seems to take the wind out of their sails, but here, we actually caught it on video. I don't know why it works, and I don't think I really care. They also really like when mom sings "I Shot the Sheriff" by Bob Marley in a really high-pitched shriek. Whatever it takes, I guess.

I think that's about it for now. We'll have more to post soon, so keep checking in!

The Princess gets prime real estate ON mom while the peons have to deal with what's left over. As it should be, since Pius took up all the room while IN mom! Pius actually fell asleep like this....oh, to sleep like a baby again.

Love,
The Grafs

P.S. Thank you to those who've let us know about their plans to attend the baptism and/or the pool party. If there is anyone else interested and needs more details, please just email Billy or Moni and we'll get you in "the know".

P.S. #2 Jaclyn, to answer your "questions" about the Memorial Day post....of course cousin Katie is wearing clothes! What do you think we are, Swamp Trash? Tee, hee, hee! Before anyone gets offended, this is an inside joke not meant to degrade ANY Louisianians, except of course the Tubres.

Wow, what a week, thanks for all the pics. I'm coming home for a visit June 23rd- July 5th so I'll be out to see the kids sometime then. Can't wait to see you, let me know if you're up for Margarita's!! All is good with me, still haven't seen the Tubre's but they're still on my list of things to do. I'll start a new job in NOLA on July 7th at a different hospital. We'll catch up when I come back.

Thanks for the smiles. I loved it. JC has a way with kids and all people. The picture of you holding Dana with the P-man on your legs brought back some memories for me with Jo and Lo.

I just feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Great way to start a Friday.

Love you all.

Wow! Videos galore! I am glad that no one saw me reading/watching this post, because I couldn't stop smiling. I LOVE the videos. The Johnny Cash thing cracks me up. I am glad that Laine is feeling better. That must have been scary. I can't believe you took all 4 to church and out to eat. I can't even take my 1 to church and can barely take her out to eat... Good luck at the baptisms!!! I can't wait to see pictures from the blessed event.

Love you!

Great post! I'm glad Billy got Danna to smile on tape. Way cute. Hopefully Moni only has to see the ER when she is working, not with any other kiddos :) Happy early baptism quads! Keep us updated. Love Love Love the pics!

Moni, I'm glad you checked out my blog the other day. I was beginning to think I was going insane and ranting like an incoherent monkey. LOL! The children look great. Poor Laine. My youngest, Maggie, has a nebulizer since she has allergy induced wheezing. I don't want to say asthma. I feel like I will jinx her or something. Anyways, we have been lucky this year, so far, and haven't needed to use it. But its on 24/7 stand-by. I have to say he coped with it a lot better than my Maggie. You think I was hanging her by her toes and torturing her.
Anyhow, I won't be able to get to the get together on the 14th. I was a little on the brainless side and scheduled myself on the 14th to work. For some reason it didn't get on my master calender. I am going to blame finals for throwing me off. Next time, I plan to be off work so I can finally meet your beautiful family.
Love,
The College Hill Girls!!

We hope Laine is feeling better. The pics of the babies are really cute. I cannot believe how much they are changing all of the time. I am sure Grandma Vicki is over a lot spoil them a lot this summer. Hope the baptism goes good for you this weekend. Ross and I plan on being at the party next weekend.
Take care and give all the babies a hug and kiss for me.

I LOVED the Johnny Cash video! Who would've thunk it -- Johnny Cash songs soothing babies! You all must have the most patience of anyone I know. Church AND out to eat all in one day. Wow! I'm reluctant to do both together with a 2-yr-old & 7-mo-old. What church do you guys go to? We are regulars at St. Francis of Assisi. Hope all goes well with the Baptism(s) this weekend. May God bless you all on such a very special day!

I am totally impressed and thankful for the great videos. It is so good to see the boys in the exersaucer, Danna smiling at Billy and Laine about to take a dive face first off the couch. J/J. The Johnny Cash thing is awesome and what’s even better is that Moni is singing like she’s in the church choir on Sunday…you go girl. So glad Danna got some prime real estate for nap time. This was a GREAT update and I was grinning ear to ear the whole time…well, until I reached P.S. #2…

As for you Billy Graf - I can just see you curled in the fetal position outside “Swamp Trash” infested Tiger Stadium November 8th saying "there's no place like home" after we demolish Bama. You know those shirts that say “I’m with Stupid” and they have an arrow on them? One of those would work well for me to wear (aimed at you of course), but what would be even better is one that says “I’m with a Bama Lovin Kansasan Who Calls LSU Lovin Louisianans Swamp Trash”. You wouldn’t make it out of the first tailgating parking lot alive! I can’t wait for “you guys” to get here.

Wow. I just got to say- I love each and every one of you tons and tons and tons. We think about you guys all the time and CAN'T wait to meet you (well, I suppose we won't be meeting Billy and Moni, per say).

I love the pictures- especially the last one. SO CUTE. You guys make beautiful babies! And the clothes are great. If you don't have too many plans with what to do with them once out-grown, I would love to talk with you about sending some over to Ethiopia when we travel (we've been told the orphanages are in dire need of boy clothes).

Anyway- sorry about the plug-in. I just figure I'll forget if I don't do it now.

I MISS YOU!!!

Love, Cousin Courtney (who's typically a blog stalker and not a blog commenter)

I have to say that this wonderful post sure did not get enough comments. Sorry Billy and Monica! It really was a GREAT post, worthy of many, many more comments than this...
