We are home!!!

We finally made it home and it was so nice to step off the plane to the feeling of cold air. Marsha, Bucko, Mom, and Dad flew down to help us transfer all of our new stuff back home. We must have really accumulated a lot because we filled the van and had a lot more stuff to carry on the plane. Thank you so much, by the way, to Chris and Holly Hifield??? for driving our van home for us, and then thanks to Mom, Dad, Lainie, and Adam for unloading it. The house looked great, it was spotless as Mom, Terri Peterson, Bucko, Aunt Bertie, Rachel, and Lainie had worked their butts off cleaning for a couple days. We quickly made it unspotless.

The babies did so well on the flight. We hardly heard a peep from any of them, and they have done very well adjusting to being the centers of attention for more than just three people. As for Monica and I, we have done very well NOT being the centers of attention anymore. It is okay though, and we are gladly ready to share the spotlight with the little squirts. Monica and I have had all four of them by ourselves for the first two nights home. We have done well handling the feedings and changings, only having about 9 arguments. The kids are trying to divide Team Parent, but they are failing as we are doing a nice job of teamwork. However, after being alone with them for 6-8 hours it is a welcome sound to hear the door opening in the morning with reinforcements.

Sorry it is such a quick post, but the feedings are calling. We promise more updates and pictures to come. As far as the question about any media, The Wichita Eagle came out yesterday to interview us and take pictures for the newspaper. The story will run on Sunday. Thanks for all the prayers.

Billy, Monica, Pius, Forrest, Danna, and Laine

So good to hear from you. And I am so glad you are back HOME!!! I can't wait to read the article tomorrow. That is great that they did so good on the flight. I was nervous for you :) You guys were brave being by yourself during the night, since I am sure there were people that would have been willing to help you so that you could sleep. But I am sure that it is also nice to just be a "little" family by yourselves once in a while, since for the next few months (at least) you will have LOTS of people in and out of your house. I am looking forward to the newest pictures of the babies in Wichita!

Well first of all congratulations on the birth of your babies.
My name is Kim Sutton, I am a former Bishop Carroll alumni (1993) and former NICU nurse. I am however now the Wichita Enfamil baby formula representative. Our company has a multiple birth program which I thought I might extend to your family.I obviously have no idea whether you a nursing or formula feeding or which formula, but none the less I thought I would extend that to you. Please feel free to email me if you are interested and I will get in contact with you. My email is kimmiesue123@yahoo.com.

Woo-Hoo!!!!
Guys, really, if you need anything (groceries, Chipotle, beer run...) please call me. I still have this damn sinus thing hanging on and won't get over there any time soon to help out. But I can run errands and do things that don't involve me being in contact with the Quad Squad. But when I deliver your groceries can you line them all up by the back door so I can peek in and see them? :)
Heading out to get a copy of the paper now!

Love you all

Maria

Billy
So, it's been about 4 days and the trash is just now ready to be taken out, I went to stuff a couple more items in and thought to myself "self" who's gonna take the trash out now that Billy's not here. A sobering reminder of your absence. I miss you guys, do you still check the comments often?
Oh, by the way, I'm off to try another new Restaurant tonight...I'm going for Oysters with a girl from work.
Give those sweeties a kiss for me please.
Love you
Becky

Hey Becky, we still check the comments, but not quite as often as we did in the Nix. We're really missing your laptop right about now (and the neighbors internet service)! We miss you, too. Enjoy those oysters and we'll give the kids another big ol' kiss from you (for a total of one million and one kisses for the day - I can't help it, their cheeks are just too irresistible). Talk to ya later!

Congrats to all the Graf's. Glad the Graf Quad's are home and hope you are all adjusting!! Can't wait to see all of you.

Abbey, Tyger and Emma need to hear how their significant others are doing and Cullen would like to know if Pius wants to have an eating contest. What is going on in Kansas??? It's not enough that I get to talk to you once a week or so...I need pictures and especially videos!

I know the chaos you are living in right and completely understand the delay in updating.

Miss you and love you lots!
Jac, Torey, Abbey, Tyger, Cullen and Emma

P.S. A tasty Mardi Gras treat heading your way so do not delay in opening the package when it arrives. Don’t let the purple, green and gold icing scare you…it is totally edible…I’ve been eating them since birth and I turned out o.k…shutup Billy, I know what you are thinking.

Happy Birthday Monica!!!

I bet I know what's coming from the Tubre's!! I ordered one myself, since I can't be there in person!!

I'm having fun here enjoying some of the Superbowl festivities and getting my Mug out there for all to see, so the kids won't miss me so much!

Love to all, good luck on you're outing tomorrow. Should be interesting!

WEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Having 4 babies is a WEAK EXCUSE not to post!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I thought the withdrawals at drug rehab were painful. Yeah, no news is good news but, doggone it, let us know what is happening!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Really! All of these people complaining about the lack of pictures and/or blogs have no sense of what it's like to have 4 babies at one time. That being said, it is unkind to withhold pictures from a sweet elderly great aunt who will not be able to see the babies in real life for several months.

Anonymous said...

If aunt dd is my dear Aunt Dee....
PFFFT!! "Elderly" my butt! You and your beautiful, ageless sister will never be "elderly".
I see where your daughters get their ability to somehow look younger year after year!

(If you're not my dear Aunt Dee, I'm sure the same still applies! :)

Hope all is well Billy and Moni!! Sorry for misusing your blog to cross-communicate with Aunt DeeAnn.

Haven't you been over there? Can't you give us some sort of a written update? Or anyone that has been over there to help for that matter. Just tell us about your experience with the babies. That will maybe tide us over until the real post comes in.

Anonymous said...

Erin I have been thinking the same thing. If you've been over there or seen any of the 6 let know about it! AW

whoops...let us know about it

I feel betrayed!! You only liked your fans when you were away :(
.........I'm only kidding!!! Just wanted to give you guys a hard time like everyone else is. You guys take care of yourselves in your spare time and not your fanclub.

So glad you are all safely home in Wichita. I bet the family just loves having you back. We can't wait to see the kids and hope to plan a trip to Wichita in the near future.
