Just a quick update

Just wanted to send a quick weights update before we leave for the hospital to visit the kids.

Danna Lynn - 2 lbs, 9 oz
Laine Ryan - 3 lbs, 11 oz
Forrest Michael - 5 lbs, 10.7 oz
Pius James - 5 lbs, 14 oz

They are all doing great and so are mom and dad. My baby sister, Rachel, got into town on the 19th and will be here until the 23rd. She got to meet her godson, Forrest. Oddly enough, it seems he has been the only one awake every time we go visit (I guess his roommate, Laine, was up a few times, too). He must know who he needs to impress already!

The babies had their eye exams for ROP (retinopathy of prematurity) on Wednesday. Because oxygen is so damaging to preemies' eyes, they sometimes struggle with vision later in life. But good news... the 3 boys don't need to be checked again until the age of 2. Danna's eyes were good too, but they are going to recheck in two weeks because of her size and her eyes were not fully vascularized yet.

Thanks for all the great comments! They keep us going.

Love,
Billy, Moni, Rachel, Pius, Forrest, Danna and Laine

I can't believe you posted in the morning! I've never been this far up on the comment page! Everything sounds awesome...Quads are growing like mad! How do they do the ROP testing? Have they done a hearing screen? I'm working out west today...I'll probably call you after my shift (I'm off at 2200-that's 10 p.m., I thought you might need some practice getting back into the documentation mindframe!). Talk to you soon, Karen

Wonderful news about the boys eyes. Just wanted to say I have heard lots of comments about the "angels" from people I did not know were even following you guys. I stopped by to check on the twins and Ashlee(Mom) was at the bedside. She had seen the pictures and thought your babes were adorable. As do we all. Enjoy the company. Have a good growing and nippling weekend!!!

Monica and Billy, Congratulations on four beautiful little ones. They are adorable. I love the pics of them in the angel outfits, that is so cute. I hope everything is going well and they continue to grow and do great. Good news is fantastic. If you need anything please don't hesitate to call (316)204-8371. Moni, you did a wonderful job caring those four (I couldn't have done it). I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope to see you soon back out West. Thanks for all of the updates, I have been reading them on a regular basis. Take Care, Haley

Your children are beautiful! They sound like they are growing well and will be home soon. We continue to pray for all 6 of you. I was especially glad to see all of them tolerating some tummy time- so good for their development! Sorry had to put my therapist "two cents" in.

My dad is already telling Blake that he is going to be a 6'4", 215 lb linebacker- just think in 14 years they'll all be teammates.

The new pictures of the quads as angels and with Santa are darling. They are just growing right along. We will keep praying that everything keeps going good for all of you. Monica and Billy you both look great in the picture with the babies. It is in the 50's here today but it is there is supposed to be snow and ice in western KS later tonight and it is supposed to be like blizzard conditions tomorrow. Ross and I are going out tonight. Jennifer and Brandon were going to go out tomorrow and come back Sun. It sounds like they will not be going anywhere Brandon now has to work tomorrow to finish a job and has to work on Mon. and Jennifer has to work tom am and then has a 3 am plane coming in on Monday for the airport. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

I am glad everything is good with the kids and their eyes. I am sure every one of these tests that comes back good is such a relief. I really am amazed at how well they have done with so few issues.

I guess I could have told you that I am being induced on Dec 28th, but it doesn't seem very news worthy in comparison to QUADS. It's only one, you know. However, I am VERY ready. I am huge, as I always am at this stage, but again, that is a single baby HUGE not QUAD huge. And the thought of having FIVE kids is still a little overwelming to me. However, it all seems so petty to mention in light of what you guys have going on. (Thanks Aunt Marsha for filling them in when I didn't.)

Have you guys talked to the Tubre's since they got home? Does it give you any insight into your future? Your babies all seem to be doing so well that I bet you will be home before you know it.

It is always nice to get updates. I know it is time consuming and is probably hard to get done, but just think how much time it saves in all the phone calls you would be making to keep everyone up to date. Keep giving us what you can. We really do appreciate it.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Janeen

Hay Billy, Moni, Pius, Laine, Forrest and Danna,

Wow, I've never actually typed all the names, it's easier to say quads...anyhow, the santa pics were awesome! They are quite beautiful babes, but look at their parents! I love you all and hope that you have a very Merry Christmas! Billy, looks like I'm taking over Santa duties this year unless I can talk Jim (my boyfriend) into doing it! I love you.

Just to let you guys know, when I was down in Phoenix I told Forrest to impress his godmother and be awake when she came down, so I would really give the credit to his godfather. Forrest is already a good listener, that a boy!!! It looks like Danna is really starting to gain some weight now, along with the other three, which is great news. Also, that is good to hear their eyes exams all went well. Thanks for the updates.

Hi Billy, Moni, Pius, Forrest, Danna and Laine-
Way to go with the vision tests! We're so happy to hear the great news but we wish we were there (or you were here) to give you all a hug in person. We love you and miss you all!

The annual Christmas party definitely won't be the same. It's a bummer that you're not here but did you have to send this blizzard just to keep everyone else from being able to come, too? Ha! Truthfully, we might be the only ones here because it is really crummy out. To give you an idea of how bad it is, Ryno actually came by but turned around and left because he couldn't get in the court! I didn't think even Alaska had enough snow to keep Ryno away from his beverage of choice! He says he's going to try again later because it's supposed to stop snowing around 6pm. Unfortunately, it's supposed to keep blowing around 25-30mph so the drifting snow might continue to be a problem.

At any rate, we'll be thinking of you today as always. Good to talk to you this morning, Bill. Take good care of each other and keep passing all of those tests! Love you!

Stacey

Hmmmmm! Remember when you guys were "taxi" service for Fabers party a few years ago? Well, we were thinking about going over, but after reading Staceys post maybe we should rethink that one. Ma and Pa Graf were over this AM and they told me I was a little behind on posting....so here I am. Those babies are sooooo adorable. I have to show all my clients the pictures. Such good news on all of them.

All of our kids start coming in next week - am I ready? No!!

Wishing you all a very happy holiday (much warmer than ours). I love all of your updates and feel so close to your angels and anxious to see them in person. Take care and we love you. Terry

I am sorry I haven't been up on the comments and what not, but how could I not be drawn to matching shirts holding all the kids? I'm not sure who looks better in pink, I'm also not sure if I've ever seen Bill with a bigger smile, it's a wonderful thing... Great to see you guys are doing well still and I keep praying for you... Merry Christmas

Happy Birthday Jesus...
